D'n Ingelhof is an authentic half-timbered farmhouse located in the Belgian town of Teuven, a stone's throw from the Dutch border. It is the perfect base for exploring all the beauty that this hilly region has to offer.
Then and now
The outer walls of D'n Ingelhof show that the building used to be divided into two parts. The left part used to be a half-timbered house and the right part used to be a stone house. Meanwhile, the dividing walls have been removed and the building has been completely rebuilt into one attractive holiday home. In 2018, the holiday home was taken over by Rene and Inge, who have completely renovated the interior.
Let's take a look inside
As “Ingel” means angel in the Limburg dialect, the front door of the home carries a door knocker in the shape of a little angel. Once you step inside, you will enter the hallway which has black-and-white chequered tiles and bright red doors. Behind one of these doors you will find the bathroom, which is equipped with a shower, toilet and washbasin. The hallway also borders the kitchen, which is equipped with all modern conveniences. These conveniences include a ceramic hob, oven, large fridge-freezer, coffee machine, Senseo machine, kettle and dishwasher. Once you walk through to the living room, you will encounter cosy sitting area with a fireplace and a long dining table. Moreover, the living room offers access to your private terrace. The stairs will lead you to the first floor, where you will find three double bedrooms with comfortable beds and washbasin. For the little ones, there is a cot and a highchair available.
Outdoor space
The house is located in a quiet area and has a large garden. At the back of the house you will find a lovely terrace with a picnic table and a couple of garden chairs. Sit back and enjoy a cold, local beer while observing the beautiful, rolling landscape of Teuven. During summer, you will see the cows grazing peacefully in the surrounding meadows. Furthermore, there is plenty to do at D'n Ingelhof, as there are various fun games and a shuffleboard waiting for you!
