The Pietershof winery is situated on a quiet country road in Teuven (Belgium). This beautiful country house is owned by the Akkermans family who have lived here very happily for a number of years. Now they have opened up this unique 20-person holiday home for everyone to enjoy and marvel at the interesting design elements like Persian carpets and eccentric paintings.
Let’s take a look inside
With the house’s hillside location, the layout had to be handled creatively. You enter into a hall with access to four double bedrooms and one triple bedroom. All bedrooms have been tastefully styled with features like English-style curtains, atmospheric lighting, artwork on the walls and good-quality single box-spring beds. On the ground floor there are also six bathrooms, one of which has been specially adapted for people with reduced mobility. The entire house is accessible to everyone thanks to the stairlift.
On the mezzanine floor there is a spacious kitchen equipped with all conveniences including a stainless-steel workbench, 5-burner ceramic hob, oven, microwave, large fridge, freezer and dishwasher. While you’re cooking you can enjoy the crackling fire and the views over the beautiful gardens. When the weather is nice, open the patio doors or dine outside. On the mezzanine floor there is also a quad room and ensuite bathroom equipped with shower, washbasin and classic clawfoot bathtub.
On the first floor you will not only find two stylish bedrooms, but also the heart of the house: the spacious living room with its colourful sofas and floral-patterned cushions, fireplace, piano, huge bookcase and long wooden dining table. In this cosy space you can chat to friends and family while enjoying a nice drink. The TV room is one floor up.
Sauna
For an additional fee you can use the wonderful 4-person sauna located on the ground floor.
Outdoor space
This holiday home also includes a stunning outdoor area. From the kitchen you have access to a spacious terrace with a long dining table. This terrace borders a fairytale, L-shaped boxwood garden where you’ll also find the second terrace. From this terrace you can enjoy views over the surrounding meadows. Children can have fun on the boules court, football field and play area.
