The 9-person holiday home Jagthuys Beusdael is located in the Belgian village of Sippenaeken, a stone's throw from the Dutch border. It is the ideal base for discovering the beauty and conviviality of both South Limburg and the Belgian Voer region. Jagthuys Beusdael owes its name to the neighbouring Castle Beusdael, a true jewel among the castles in the region. Castle Beusdael is owned by Miriam and Luc Kerckhoffs, who have a great passion for renovating monumental buildings. In 2013, Miriam and Luc renovated the eye-catching, red half-timbered house located next to their castle and transformed it into a charming holiday home.
Let's take a look inside
When you enter the house, you will find yourself in the hallway that leads to the living room. The country-style living room invites you to relax on the sofa and have good conversations with your friends or family over a glass of wine or a local beer. In the adjoining dining room, everyone can sit together and enjoy a nice dinner at the long, wooden dining table. From the dining room you can walk through to the open kitchen at the back of the house. The kitchen has a large kitchen island and is equipped with all modern conveniences like a 4-burner ceramic cooker, oven, fridge-freezer, coffee machine, electric kettle and dishwasher. And of course, there are sufficient kitchen utensils for extensive cooking. Also located on the ground floor are a separate toilet and a bathroom with washbasin, shower and toilet. On the first floor, you will find four attractive bedrooms, including three double bedrooms and one triple bedroom. A cot is also available. On the landing you will find a modern bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet. In 2023, various renovations took place at Jaghuys Beusdael among which: the addition of an extra bathroom (en suite in the triple bedroom) and of a new wooden floor in the living room and in two bedrooms.
Outdoor space
Guests staying at Jagthuys Beusdael have access to a lovely garden and terrace bordered by meadows with grazing cows. It is the perfect place for enjoying the tranquillity and beauty of the countryside. The house overlooks the owners' vineyard, "Vignoble Château Beusdael", an original feature as there are not so many vineyards in Belgium! The surroundings are ideal for walking and cycling. At only 2 km from the holiday home you will find the forests Bovenste Bos and Beusdalbos.
NB: There is a wifi connection available but due to the fact that the house is located in a remoted place, the signal can be rather weak (or interrupted) at times.
