The 18-person holiday home La Petite Ecole is situated on the grounds of a farm in the picturesque little village of Sippenaeken, just a stone’s throw from the Dutch border. This holiday home owes its name to its former function; the building used to be a small village school. The current owner of the grounds, a very passionate farmer, will happily give you a tour of the farm and let children watch the cows being milked.
Let’s take a look inside
On the ground floor of the holiday home you’ll find a well-equipped kitchen, cosy living room, double bedroom, separate toilet and bathroom with shower and washbasin. The traditional kitchen is equipped with all the conveniences including a microwave, convection oven, 6-burner gas hob, coffee machine, kettle, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and complete set of kitchenware. The living room is perfect for relaxing on the comfortable sofas and the dining room is ideal for enjoying a meal together at the wooden dining tables. The spiral staircase takes you up to the first floor where you’ll find two double bedrooms, two triple bedrooms and four bathrooms with shower, washbasin and toilet. If you carry on up the spiral staircase you reach the second floor. Here there are two more triple bedrooms and a bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet.
Outdoor space
You might be tempted to just soak up the atmosphere indoors, but make sure to enjoy the outdoor farm life too! Take a look at the farm, relax on your private terrace or go for a nice walk. The countryside surrounding Sippenaeken is characterised by extensive hiking and cycling paths, nice bistros, winding country roads and beautiful, far-reaching views.
