Le Mary-Jo is a luxurious 3-person holiday home with sauna and whirlpool, situated in the heart of a beautiful natural area, 1.5 kilometres from the small village of Hombourg.
Then and now
In the 1900s, Le Mary-Jo and the adjacent holiday home Grandeur Nature were part of a large farm run by the Crutzen family. Le Mary-Jo is located in the former cowshed, where cows stood side by side for years. Since the Crutzen family have now moved their farm to a different location, the cowshed has been demolished. The old stones have been re-used to build this luxurious holiday home.
Let’s take a look inside
You enter the holiday home via the hall that leads to the cosy living area with a sofa and armchair, wood-burning stove, and arched window that stretches up to the bedroom. Walking to the other side of the living space, you will find a dining table and well-equipped kitchen with 4-ring induction hob, dishwasher, oven, microwave, and fridge-freezer. The ground floor also has a laundry room (with washing machine and dryer) and a separate toilet. The staircase with illuminated handrail leads to the upper floor, where you will find a spacious bedroom with double bed that offers fantastic views over the meadows. An extra bed or cot can be placed in this room on request. This upper floor also has a bathroom with a large walk-in shower, sink, toilet, and whirlpool bath.
Outdoor space
Le Mary-Jo is not only a gem on the inside, but also on the outside, with a lovely terrace and garden to the rear of the property. Since the terrace is shielded from Grandeur Nature, you have plenty of privacy. There is also a small terrace at the front of the holiday home – the perfect spot for a morning cup of coffee. The holiday home is part of the 21-hectare estate. You can go for a walk along the cornfields and enjoy a picnic in the meadows. Walk 500 metres uphill to reach the entrance into a forest and take in a breathtaking panorama. An absolute indulgence for nature lovers.
