In the heart of the beautiful, undulating Geuldal valley you’ll find a large estate called Petit Moulin. On this estate there’s a centuries-old farmhouse that has been carefully restored by the current owners and supplemented with two apartments and three attractive holiday homes. The 2-person 't Eekhoorntje, the 6-person ‘t Konijntje and the 4-person De Gouden Gans can be rented both individually and together.
Let’s take a look inside
On the ground floor of ‘t Konijntje (The Little Rabbit) you will find an attractive, open living area with a kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with a large TV and sofa. The kitchen is equipped with all conveniences including an induction hob, a dishwasher, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle and filter coffee machine. On the first floor, there are two spacious triple bedrooms. Both are equipped with one double bed and one single bed. In addition, both rooms have a little balcony offering beautiful views over the estate. Both bedrooms also have their own bathroom with washbasin, rain shower, toilet and hairdryer. You also have WiFi connection in the house; but given the location of the house, it is sometimes slightly slower than average.
Outdoor space
Through the French doors in the living area you can access the private terrace which is equipped with garden furniture, two loungers and a large parasol. Here you can soak up the natural surroundings and sunshine while watching the farm animals. Chickens, ducks, cats, dogs and sheep all live peacefully together on the grounds. In addition to the private terrace, you have access to the communal fruit meadow. Here you can relax in one of the loungers or hammocks, for example. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead due to the other animals on the grounds.
The area
The area where the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany meet is known as a true outdoor paradise with something special to offer no matter the season. The green and undulating landscape is ideal for hiking, cycling, horseback riding, mountain biking and golf. Follow one of the many routes to reach the most beautiful places. For example, take a walk to the market in Aubel or the Eperbos forest, which is located on the banks of the river Geul. At the Geul you can completely relax and even spot dragonflies or rare bird species. In the nearby little villages of Gemmenich, Sippenaeken and Hombourg you will also find lots of nice restaurants and bars. For a city trip you can go to Maastricht (25 km), Liege (35 km) or Aachen (6 km).
