This Scandinavian-style detached house is situated in the picturesque little village of Slenaken, in the middle of the South Limburg hills. It is the ideal place to unwind and enjoy some of the finer things in life. Yvo and Lucie, the owners of the holiday home, are happy to share their beloved place you. They chose the name ‘La Vie Limburg’ because it is a combination of the names of their daughters, Laura and Evie. But of course the name is also a nod to life in Limburg.
Let’s take a look inside
You enter the half-timbered house through the basement, where there is a bicycle storage room, bathroom and home cinema. The home cinema is equipped with a comfortable sofa and a projector that means you can watch gripping films on the wall. From this room you also have access to the attractive outdoor space with lounge area and fireplace.
On the first floor of the house you will find the living area which has a modern design. The wood-panelled walls give the space a warm feel and the large windows let a lot of natural light in. On one side of the living area is an attractive sitting area with views over the green hills and peacefully grazing cows. On the other side of the living area is a large wooden dining table where you can enjoy meals together.
From the sitting area, you can walk through into the well-equipped open kitchen. This is equipped with all conveniences including an induction hob, combi microwave, steam oven, fridge-freezer, Nespresso machine and dishwasher. Next to the kitchen is a utility room with a washing machine, dryer and second fridge.
On the second floor there are three double bedrooms and a spacious bathroom with shower, washbasin and second toilet. One of the bedrooms has a covered balcony that offers views over the beautiful South Limburg countryside.
Outdoor space
Guests of La Vie Limburg have their own garden (south-facing) and three different terraces. There is a low-lying terrace, where you can enjoy this sheltered spot until it’s time for bed. This terrace has a lounge sofa and an attractive fireplace that can also be used as a barbecue. Next to the living area there is also a higher terrace where you can eat outside and enjoy the sun until it sets. Finally, in the garden there is another terrace with comfy loungers.
The area
This holiday home has an ideal location. You only have to walk down the hill and you’re in the heart of the charming village of Slenaken where you’ll find a range of restaurants, an ice cream stand and a local supermarket.
