The attractive 6-person holiday home Strucht is situated in the hamlet of the same name, and within walking distance of the charming little town of Valkenburg. With the wonderful Gerendal valley on your doorstep and the Sint Jansbos forest out the back, this house is the perfect base for beautiful walks and bike rides through the undulating Heuvelland. In 2017, the then dated building was bought by the current owners, who lovingly transformed it into a beautiful holiday home while still retaining its authentic details.
Let’s take a look inside
You enter into a hall that leads to the large, open living area. Here, the oak floors in combination with the half-timbering and the marl brickwork create a warm feel. The large corner sofa by the fireplace is perfect for relaxing and having a drink with friends or family. From the sitting area you can walk through into the half-open dining area. The spacious dining table is ideal for long, relaxed dinners, but you can also use it for board games while enjoying a cup of coffee and a piece of Limburg pie. The adjoining kitchen is equipped with all conveniences including a dishwasher, microwave, fridge, coffee machine and kettle. If you take the stairs to the upper floor, you will find three charming bedrooms. One of these has a private bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet. The largest bedroom offers fascinating views over the marl quarry. On the upper floor you will also find another beautifully finished bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet.
Outdoor space
The outdoor space is just as enticing as inside! In the dining room extension there is a lovely, covered terrace surrounded by plants, flowers and a lawn. No matter the time of day, you’ll always find a sunny spot in the garden. Read a good book in one of the loungers or enjoy a delicious breakfast at the garden table. Bicycles can be safely stored in the covered porch next to the house.
