Reijmerstok Schuur is a gorgeous holiday home located in the village centre of Reijmerstok. For a long time, this half-timbered barn stood somewhere else in Reijmerstok. As the barn’s location here created a blind bend and thus resulted in dangerous situations, it unfortunately had to be taken down. The wooden beams were numbered, and the skeleton of the building was dismantled. The building was rebuilt on the village square in 1990s, where it forms a half-open courtyard together with another old half-timbered house.
Let’s take a look inside
Inside, Reijmerstok Schuur has an inviting, warm feel, offering views of the courtyard and covered patio wherever you are in the property. The 120 m2 living space features a cosy sitting area with a fireplace, a 22-person dining table, and a spacious kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large range, kitchen island, microwave, oven, and dishwasher. While the cooking enthusiasts among the guests are busy in the kitchen, the rest can chat over an apéritif in front of the fireplace. There is also a cosy sitting area with TV on the mezzanine.
The bedrooms are spread over the first and second floors and have a quirky layout. All bedrooms have single box spring beds. There are five bathrooms in total, all with shower and sink. One of the bathrooms is located on the ground floor and has a toilet and shower. There are another two separate toilets: one on the first floor and one on the second floor.
Outdoor space
Guests of Reijmerstok Schuur have access to a large, partially covered courtyard, which catches the sun for much of the day!
