Hoeve Elzet is a 26-person holiday home situated in the hamlet of the same name, Elzet, one of the most beautiful places in South Limburg. The proud owners of the farm, Piet and Paula, have worked hard to create a unique holiday home in this location. They give you, together with their daughter Geeke and her partner Jeffrey, a warm welcome at this completely renovated house, which is the perfect mix between modern luxury and traditional elements.
Let’s take a look inside
As soon as you enter the holiday home, you will immediately get a feeling of space. The ground floor is a large, open space with a number of stylish, separate areas. A wood-burning stove, smart layout, luxurious sofa and armchairs lend the seating area a warm feel. From the long, wooden dining table in the dining area, you have fantastic views over the Geuldal valley. The only thing that’s missing is a delicious meal. This can be prepared in the well-equipped kitchen, which includes a large gas hob, convection oven, combi microwave, freezer, dishwasher and two full-size fridges. The kitchen also has a large island with bar stools, so that whoever is cooking can join in the conversation too.
After an active day out in the hills of South Limburg’s Heuvelland, a good night’s sleep is of course very important. At Hoeve Elzet you can choose from ten beautifully furnished bedrooms with private bathroom. All bedrooms are equipped with wonderful single box-spring beds with toppers. The bedroom on the ground floor is fully wheelchair accessible and has its own bathroom suitable for guests with reduced mobility. The other bedrooms are very spacious and are situated on the first and second floors. A nice surprise awaits you on the first floor – a Finnish sauna for six people.
Outdoor space
The outdoor space is just as enticing as inside. Via the patio doors in the dining room you can step out onto the covered terrace, where you always have shelter thanks to the wooden roof. Here you also have really special views over the rolling hills and fields of the Geuldal valley. Next to the covered terrace is a long garden table, where you can have breakfast or dinner together with the whole group. Guests also have access to a private garden with a play area for the children.
The area
Hoeve Elzet is situated just outside the charming little village of Mechelen. The local supermarket, bakery and various restaurants and cafés are all within walking distance. A number of really enjoyable hiking and cycling routes also start right from the front door of the house.
Please note
Due to its location in a designated quiet area and out of respect for local residents, no student parties, stag parties or other alcohol-fuelled parties are allowed at this holiday home. Without prior approval, it is not permitted to play music or make noise in the outdoor space. Especially from 10pm onwards, guests are asked to respect the peace and quiet.
