The ‘Poort van Maastricht’ holiday home is literally on the border between South Limburg’s hill country and Maastricht, on the Rijksweg trunk road in the town of Cadier en Keer. The holiday home is worthy of its name. This luxury property has all the facilities you need for a truly wonderful stay, such as a spacious kitchen, an en-suite bathroom for each bedroom, a mini cinema, and an outdoor pool!
Indoors:
The holiday home is situated like a ‘Gateway to Maastricht’ on the Rijksweg trunk road in the town of Cadier en Keer. The owners have made sure that the house is equipped with every convenience. On the ground floor, there is a spacious kitchen-diner with a comfortable sitting area adjacent and next to that the mini cinema. There are also six bedrooms and bathrooms on this floor. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a six-burner gas hob and a fan oven. The dining tables with chairs in cheerful colours create a pleasant ambiance. In addition, there is a coffee bar with a professional coffee machine and milk frother to make the perfect cup of coffee!
Next to the kitchen dining area is the spacious lounge area with a large corner sofa facing the TV. It’s a great spot to share a bottle of wine or cosy up with a good book in the evening. In addition to the normal TV, the house has an actual mini cinema where you can play your favourite films via the projector. The sixteen authentic cinema seats make it complete.
On the ground floor are six bedrooms, each given the name of a parish in the region. The bedrooms are furnished with single box spring beds with a double duvet. Every room has an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, washbasin, and toilet. There are five bedrooms on the first floor. Two of them are connected together as a family room. These two rooms share a bathroom with a shower and a bath for two. The other bedrooms all have their own bathroom with shower and toilet. On the second floor are the three remaining bedrooms which can each sleep two people. Each of these three rooms also has an en-suite bathroom.
Outdoors:
In addition to the spacious room indoors, there is ample space for your group to eat together outdoors. The long picnic tables have been placed on the grassy area next to the property entrance. Screens have been installed to separate the patio from the road. In addition, there is a comfortable lounge sofa as well as lounge chairs. However, the jewel in the crown is, of course, the outdoor swimming pool. The pool is open from May to September inclusive. An outdoor kitchen with a barbecue (wood) is available to make the outdoor life complete.
And if you don’t want to be completely self-sufficient but just want to sit down for a meal without having to do the cooking, then you can arrange for the owner to provide catering. This can include breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or a barbecue with a supply of drinks or local products.
