The centuries-old, traditional Dutch farmhouse ‘De Heerenhof’ is located in an area of natural beauty called Rozendaal. In 2008, the foundation protecting Limburg’s heritage and wildlife ‘Stichting Het Limburgs Landschap’ completed a comprehensive renovation and conversion of the farmhouse. The former living quarters are now the holiday home ‘t Voorhuys, and the old barn has been transformed into the holiday home ‘t Achterhuys. These two adjoining holiday homes can be rented individually, but it is also possible to rent both properties together, creating holiday accommodation for up to 23 guests. The flexibility of this former farmhouse offers the best of two worlds: an enjoyable holiday surrounded by family and friends, but also enough space to be able to enjoy a quiet moment alone.
Let's take a look inside
The property comprises two beautifully furnished holiday homes offering two spacious kitchens, three living rooms, eleven bedrooms, and seven bathrooms in total. The open-plan kitchen-diner in ‘t Voorhuys provides enough space for everyone to dine and play board games together.
Outdoor space
The outdoor space consists various terraces and gardens with a beautiful view over the meadows and forest edge. The site also features a ping pong table and a playground for children.
The area
We definitely recommend exploring the beautiful surroundings of the 280-hectare Rozendaal nature reserve – a varied landscape that hikers are sure to love. Explore a world of deciduous and coniferous forests, avenues of ancient trees, and colourful fields full of bright-red poppies, cornflowers, and camomile. You could also take a walk to the ruins of Kasteel Montfort (Montfort castle). Due to its location on Rozendaal Estate, this venue is not suitable for parties and/or youth groups.
