The beautifully located 8-person holiday home “Jagershuis” (Hunting Lodge) is located on the Tiffes Estate and is surrounded by woodland, valleys and meadows with horses.
Tiffes Estate – Then and now
A guest house was built on the Tiffes Estate as early as 1852. This guest house was intended for the guests of Eyneburg Castle, which is located just a fifteen-minute walk away. In 2002, the Tiffes Estate was taken over by the Hambeukers family. This family has completely restored and refurbished the estate, giving it back its former stately appearance. The grounds, which today include the family home and two attractive holiday homes, can be reached via a long driveway.
Let’s take a look inside
The Jagershuis is the holiday home to the extreme left of the site. Entering through front door, you will find yourself in the small hall. To the right of this hall is the cosy living room and to the left the well-equipped kitchen with 4-ring gas hob with wok burner, electric oven, microwave, refrigerator with freezer compartment, coffee machine, kettle, dishwasher, and other appliances. The wooden dining table is big enough for everyone to eat together. Be sure to use the wood-burning stove in winter to provide some extra warmth and cosiness. The stairs in the kitchen lead to the first floor, with two double bedrooms and a spacious bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet. The second floor has two more bedrooms: one double and one quadruple (two single beds and one double bunk bed). This floor also has a bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet.
Outdoor space
Guests of the Jagershuis have access to a private, south-facing terrace – the perfect spot to relax. Sit in the sun with a chilled Belgian beer and enjoy the view over the meadows and the edge of the forest. The Hambeukers family love equestrian sports and have several horses in their stables. Feel free to take a look while riding. There is also plenty for children to do: from playing hide-and-seek or tag in the forest to rollicking in the sandbox or on the playground equipment in the play area. The surrounding area also offers plenty of opportunities for nice trips. For example, you can spend a day at an amusement park, castle, or zoo.
Larger group?
Holiday home Jagershuis is located next to holiday home Boswachtershuis. These two homes together form a holiday residence suitable for groups up to 25 people. The kitchen and living room of Boswachtershuis are both large enough to serve as a common living space. When someone needs some peace and quiet, they can retreat to the Jagershuis.
To ensure peace and quiet, we do not rent our holiday homes (Jagershuis, Boswachtershuis, and Landgoed Tiffes) to groups of young people.
