The attractive 20-person holiday home Geulvallei is situated in a beautiful, green area between Gemmenich and Sippenaeken, just a few hundred metres from the Dutch border. There is definitely something for everyone here. Sporty people can put on their walking shoes and follow one of the footpaths, while those who prefer relaxation can daydream in the sauna or have a glass of wine in the garden.
Then and now
The Geulvallei is a stately building from 1876 that has had various uses over the centuries. Originally, the building was a farmhouse. Later, it was taken over by a Belgian electricity supplier and after that it became a residential house. In 2006, the house was taken over by the Kroonen family, who transformed it into the beautiful holiday home it is today.
Let's take a look inside
When you enter the house, you will find a tastefully decorated living area with a fireplace on your left. On your right you will find the dining area, where everyone can dine extensively at the two large dining tables. The large windows offer a breathtaking view of the meadows and the meandering river. In the rear part of the house you will find the kitchen which has everything you need to prepare delicious meals for a large group. There is for example a 5-burner ceramic hob, a large oven, combi microwave, two refrigerators, two freezers, a luxury coffee machine, a dishwasher and a wide range of cooking utensils and crockery.
On the first floor, there are four attractive bedrooms, namely two double rooms, one quad room and one double room with a bunk bed. The first floor also features two luxury bathrooms: one spacious bathroom with a double washbasin, walk-in shower, urinal and toilet, and one more smaller bathroom with a walk-in shower and washbasin. On the second floor you will find the other four bedrooms, namely three double rooms and one quad room with a double bed and a double sofa bed. This floor also has a bathroom with washbasin, shower and toilet.
In the basement, a special surprise awaits you: a luxurious sauna room with a 6-person sauna, a plunge pool with cold water, two walk-in showers, two washbasins and a separate toilet. From the basement you also have access to the garden.
Outdoor space
At the Geulvallei you can enjoy a lovely outdoor area with a garden and two terraces. Sitting on the terrace, you can look out over a beautiful, green landscape. For the children there is plenty to do, as the site has a tree house, swing, trampoline and soccer goal. Moreover, the area offers plenty of opportunities for activities. In the vicinity of the holiday home you can find castles, great restaurants, footpaths, cycle paths, a golf course and the tripoint “Drielandenpunt”.
NB: There is a wifi connection available but due to the fact that the house is located in a remoted place, the signal can be rather weak (or interrupted) at times.
