Holiday homes De Maretak

Surrounded by beautiful valleys and stream landscapes in the Belgian Voer region lie the holiday homes of De Maretak. This authentic half-timbered house from the 16th century exudes a warm, nostalgic atmosphere with its centuries-old beams, clay walls, red tiles, and wooden furniture. In total, there are five holiday homes: Kleine Huis, Oude Huis, Nieuwe Huis, Hoekhuis, and Wentelhuis. The accommodations are ideal for couples, hikers, or families with (young) children.

The half-timbered house was originally built in the 16th century. Around 1750, the house was divided and extended westward. Due to its dilapidated state and poor foundation, it became necessary to first dismantle the structure entirely. The wooden framework was meticulously restored, and the panels were refilled with clay on a lattice of willow branches. Some time later, the house was transformed into the charming holiday home it is today.
